The New Jersey Professional Estimators Association is a
not-for-profit organization offering continuing education programs, career training and college courses developed by estimators for use as an educational tool for the training of new and minimally experienced construction estimators.

Class Descriptions
Construction Estimator Certification ProgramThe New Jersey Professional Estimators Association offers a Construction Estimator Certification Program for continuing education students and construction professionals. The courses are taught by experts in all phases of the construction industry. We have pooled our knowledge and hands-on expertise to teach small, women-owned and minority business owners. This certification program is recognized and approved by the State of New Jersey, the Essex County Executive Director, the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, the Mercer County Executive Director, NJIT (New Jersey Institute of Technology), New Jersey Transit and the NJSBDC (New Jersey Small Business Development Center). In addition, with approval of our programs by the Veterans Administration, returning and disabled vets can also benefit and learn to develop a solid estimate which is the basis for any successful construction project.
We look to larger and more established businesses to mentor and financially support smaller and upcoming ones. This strategy of financial assistance was developed to make this program affordable to those who need it.
The financial support comes through sponsorship of the students. Established corporations are encouraged to sponsor as many students as possible. To participate as a sponsor, these companies provide $500.00 per student. Students are also required to make a financial commitment to enroll in the program.
In addition to teaching these courses, instructors are also available to mentor the students.

The NJPEA is a not-for-profit corporation and any monies left after expenses will be donated to NJIT as scholarship monies and to the Veterans Homes
